Running the Content Studio Application

    The main content studio application can be launched in various ways. Each method is described below

    Prerequisites

    An internet connection is required to register a new account or to join a library, after which the application can be used in either online or offline mode.

    You will require connection to your company server where the central shared library/Libraries are stored so that Content Studio can connect and see your available libraries. 

    Run Content Studio from the Revit Ribbon

    1. Launch Revit
    2. Navigate to the Content Studio tab (Revit 2014 onward), or the addins tab (Revit 2013 and earlier).
    3. Left click the Content Studio icon (CS) to launch the application.

    Note: If you have not yet created an account or have not been invited to join a library by your administrator, you will need to perform the first run process documented here: How do I run Content Studio for the first time?

     

    Run Content Studio from the Desktop

    1. Locate the Content Studio icon on your desktop
    2. Using the left mouse button, double click the Content Studio icon to launch the application

    Run Content Studio from the Start Menu

    1. Windows 7: Click Start > All Programs > Locate the folder 'Content Studio Ltd' > 'Content Studio' 
    2. Windows 8: Click Windows Icon > Type 'Content Studio'
    3. Using the left mouse button, double click the Content Studio icon to launch the application
